Hello everyone

I have LG-WH12LS30 which is listed as compatible, but when i'm using my Demon's Souls disc in it, everything looks like i didn't put in any disc. It seems that it can't read the disc, and i'm wondering: do i miss anything?

BENQ BR1000
Lite-ON DH-401S
LG BD BH14NS40 (can read ps4 disc too)
LG BD BH16NS40
LG BD UH12NS30
LG BD-RE WH16NS40
Sony Optiarc BD 5300S
SAMSUNG DVDWBD SH-B083L
ASUS BC-08B1LT
LITE-ON iHBS112

watch list:
ASUS BC-12B1ST

I confirm the LG BH16NS55 can read/dump PS3 games.

I can also confirm that the LG BH16NS55 works (Files are visible and ICON0.PNG can be opened). It would be nice to get it on the list in "Quickstart", since it is currently available in stores, whereas the others are mostly outdated.

Can confirm the Hitachi/LG BH40N works.

It's the cheapest BD on newegg. Just an OEM overstock. $37.99.

Does anyone know if the Asus BW-12D1X-U Is capable of reading ps3 discs?  Been rather interested in making backups of mine and using them on the emulator, but I don't have any 5 1/4" drives (limited to external only).

Hello all,
I bring you news of a working drive.
I have had success with a Phillips / Lite-on DS-4E1S
It's a slim laptop style drive as found in my old "net top"
Asrock Ion 330.

Hi, has anyone made a list with portable drives that work? Aka ones that just plug into your usb drive. I am messing around with a samsung external blu ray drive:

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SE-506BB-...way&sr=8-3

It doesn't really seem to be produced anymore, but that's what i am currently trying to use at the moment. I'm just curious if there are either cheap enclosures for internal drives or perhaps there is a list with cheap external drives that could work. Thanks.

Hi everybody,

i have bought a used ASUS BC-08B1LT but could not get any of my Systems to recognize any BR:

Zorin 17 nope
Windows 11 nope
Mac Big Sur nope

THE SOLUTION WAS SIMPLE TO USE WINDOWS 10 and then it worked direct.

So if you do plan of using one of this older BR like the Asus from 2011 and are lucky it still works you have to use Windows 10.
I would suggest to Update the List and add all Modern USB Externals that will work and the Operating System as well.

Be patient insert BR PS3 Game and Press Scan for Disk.
It then will be mounted and also shows the PS3 Game name in the Explorer......
