Hey guys,
I have been trying to get Demons Souls to work on RPCS3. I have noticed that when I use a current build of RPCS3, the game gets a black screen after building the cache. I have googled the critical error message from the log and stumbled upon a very old forum post here, where someone had the same problem. The poster said that the problem did not occur with an older build, namely "0.0.9-10078". He also said that his game would not work on "0.0.9-10079". After trying many different configs on the newest build, I downloaded the aforementioned older build and, low and behold, it worked instantly.
So with this post I am trying to make the developers of RPCS3 aware of that fact. Seemingly something changed from build 0.0.9-10078 to 0.0.9-10079 that made the game not work for some people under certain circumstances. I am absolutely illiterate when it comes to coding and sorts, but I thought it might be an interesting information for the devs.
If someone has any leads on how to make the game work on current build, that would be very appreciated of course, as I presume the performance on current build would probably be improved and the older build also seems to lack the implemenation of patches for games.
I have attached the log of the current build.
