I am wondering, are amd GPUs (on windows) generally problematic on rpcs3?

I ask, becasue of severe visual glitches I had emulating playable ps3 titles I had on a r9 290x and rx 580, but not a gtx 950 or gt 1030.

I see there are some videos on youtube of people playing various titles, such as god of war on their r9 290x systems.

At the moment, this is not a support request, but more of a question about other users' experience with amd GPUs (and cpus if you pair them together), old and new.

For the record I am currently using an r9 290x and ryzen 3700x, though I plan to test other AMD hardware tomorrow.

5700 XT owner, always using the latest AMD drivers on Windows 11. I intend to switch over to Linux in the near future (Fedora specifically), to see if there's any difference in performance between Windows Vulkan drivers and Linux Mesa and RADV drivers. I've been using RPCS3 for the past 2.5 years.

My general experience with RPCS3: It's been mostly fine. There were 3 times where I had a semi-interrupted diagonal green line, which I attribute to Windows driver shenanigans and not RPCS3. The games with the issues were: Sands of Time in the POP Trilogy, Alone in the Dark 2008 and Kilzone 1 HD.

Aside from those 3 titles (which I haven't tested within the last 6 months), everything else has been smooth sailing. The console did occasionally say something like "MSAA not supported on your hardware" and I've read some commits regarding this, but nothing truly bad happened while playing.
