Hi,
i would like to try my original ps3 games (all in disk format) on Rcps3. Is it possible? It seems that Rcps3 doesn't support original disk, is that correct? If so, is it possible to dump my original disk game in "folder format" in order to play them with RCPS3 too? I also bought some DLC installed on my Ps3 for some games: is it possible to extract them from my console and use them in RCPS3 too?
thank you and Happy new year!
"RCPS3" doesn't exist
See https://wiki.rpcs3.net/index.php?title=H...on_3_games for all dumping related instructions

thank you!
I have a couple of questions:
1) I can dump the game also in an usb key, in port 1 or in port 2 of my ps3?
2) "Note: The PlayStation 3 has a maximum file size of 4GB. When dumping games which contain files bigger than 4GB, multiMAN will automatically split those files. When you copy your dump over to your PC, remember to rejoin the split files back together with tools such as ps3merge, otherwise the dump won't work." --> how can i know if during the dump process, multiman splitted some files in 2 parts?
thank you!
1) USB port is not relevant for dumping the disc unless you were doing an encrypted ISO dump + keys with Redump GetKey software
2) Search dumped folder for .666001

thanks. I tried both in port 1 and port 2 with an usb key 10GB in FAT32 and with an usb external hard disk 110GB in exfat, but multiman only detect the internal hard disk...
It doesn't tetect the FTP option too...even if i'm connected with filezilla and I'm able to see the internal hdd of ps3...
how can I solve this issue? I have the lastest multiman version installed
many thanks

If you're connected via FTP then you can just copy from /dev_bdvd

well, if i push TRIANGLE on the game disc --> Copy, I don't have unfortunately the option copy from /dev_bdvd... i chekcked this option in others menù but i don't find it...please can you tell me where i can find this option?
In the link above, it is written: "If using FTP, make sure to set Transfer Type to Binary, otherwise your dumps may get corrupted." So I suppose that when i will find the option, i will find the transfer type too, am I right?
many thanks
PS3 is an FTP server, you're not supposed to do anything on it after turning it on, the rest is to be done on the FTP client (your PC).

I solve the issue using the usb external drive: i have to create a GAMES folder inside in order to be detected by multiman Now I'm able to copy ame in my external hdd.
Last question: if i copy a disc on my internal hdd and that game has file larger than 4GB, Multiman will split that file, am i right? If so, the dumped game in my internal hdd will not work. What I have to do? Probably i have to copy that game in my external drive, then copy the game on my pc, merge the splitted files and then copy it again in my ps3. Is it correct?
thanks!
I believe CFW reads split files in games just fine
