RPCS3 v0.0.9-10010-1ceb779a Alpha | HEAD | Firmware version: 4.85
Intel® Core™ i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz | 8 Threads | 15.94 GiB RAM | TSC: Bad | AVX+

Playable. Finished the game from start to finish on the emulator and performance was outstanding throughout. However, there are a few things to keep in mind:
  1. The DLC bug still remains. If you install more that 15 or 16 DLCs, the game will crash after the intro logos. Given that majority of the DLCs are costumes or cosmetics, I don't see this as an issue preventing the game from being playable. This issue has now been fixed.
  2. The game seems to run at unlocked FPS, so users need to set Framelimit to 60 (or enable VSync on a 60Hz monitor) and set Vblank rate to 30Hz. This will cap the FPS in the free-roam sections to 30FPS while providing 60FPS in battle sequences and menus, similar to what we see on an actual PlayStation 3.
  3. The game occasionally loses the background music after a few seconds into a scene. This happens once in a while when you transition from one event to another. However, the background music immediately returns if you move from one area or another, or even enter into a battle. It is very rare for this to actually have any prolonged impact since you continuously enter and exit events in this game. Also, some users have noted that limiting the PPU Threads option to 1 alleviates this issue. I didn't bother doing this, since the effects of this bug was extremely minimal.
  4. On rare occasions, the game crashes. This happened to me 3 times in my 45 hour playtime. Since I used the quick-save option often, I didn't lose any progress. The crashes were rare enough that I would still consider this game playable.
  5. Also, some people mentioned that the game was too dark on RPCS3. I compared it to footage from an actual PlayStation 3 and saw that it similar to what is present on RPCS3. So that's not really an issue with RPCS3, rather the game itself being quite dark.
Overall, I'd call this title comfortably playable. I barely saw any FPS drops anywhere in the game, locked 30FPS in the free-roam mode and locked 60FPS in battles and menus.

The contention is for Vblank tweak being a compulsory requirement. Not the audio thing.

Moving to playable, requires vblank set to 30hz so it automatically changes the frame-rate to 30fps for free-roam, and 60fps for other areas. This is totally fine for the playable statistic especially in a game like this.
