Hi guys!!

Recently i've been buying rare games on Steam and some guy was asking $400 for a simple copy of the game called ''SAW'' i was gathering the money to buy it but then i heard about the Steam Rom Manager and put all of my PSP, PS1 and PS2 games on Steam. Now i'm very happy with that and with the money that i would've wasted on SAW i could buy a new rig to use RPCS3 and use the Steam Rom Manager to put SAW and SAW II: Flesh and Blood on my Steam library.

But here is the thing, i have an i5-3460 with a 8gb DDR3 RAM and the game was running at 10 FPS ON THE MENU!!! Sometimes with drops to 0 FPS, so i want to know, what is the best CPU for RPCS3 ? The CPU that is not too much expensive and can play all games playable from the RPCS3 ? I was thinking on getting an i5-9400f, also does the Motherboard matters in this case ? I heard about the i5 Xeon but i don't know nothing about it, can you guys help me with a good CPU to run this game and stop me from wasting 400 dollars on a single Steam game ? Thanks!!!

My rig at the moment:

♣ Monitor Led IPS 21,5" LG Full HD 22MP58VQ-P.AWZ IPS
♣ Motherboard Asrock H61M-hg4
♣ Cabinet Bluecase Gamer BG-024
♣ RAM 8gb (2x4) DDR3 Kingston
♣ CPU i5 3470
♣ GPU GTX 1050 TI 4gb (Heard it doesn't matter too much your GPU for emulation)
♣ HD 1TB Samsung
♣ Cooler Master H410r
♣ 3x Cooler Fan AeroCool
♣ PSU Corsair 430w

If you want a cheap CPU bang per buck then I guess the R5 1600 AF / R5 2600X / R5 3600X.
If you want a really good CPU for PS3 emulation, aim for high end such as Ryzen 3700X or Intel i7-8700K.

     Laptop: Ryzen 9 5900HX,  Radeon RX 6700M,   2x8G DDR4 3200MHz, Manjaro Linux
Old Desktop: AMD FX-8350,     Radeon R9 280X,    2x4G DDR3 1600MHz, Manjaro Linux

Do you think the i5-9600KF is good for PS3 emulation ? I've had AMD CPU in the past and only had problems with it

It's not bad, but I wouldn't buy a CPU with only 6 threads for PS3 emulation if you're going for high end anyways, that's quite a penalty compared to 9700K or even 8700K.
