I can get about the same amount of progress here. In game, go through driver registration, go through the first race (at about 15fps and with blinking every 3rd frame) and then crash when loading the car showroom. All the emulator settings are default.

This is on 0.0.6-8568; when I try on the latest 0.0.7-8741 I get "RSX verification failed" crashes every time - possibly a regression, or just improved sanity checks on the RSX.

Gran Turismo 6 was in the top 10 highest selling PS3 games yet it isn't playable at all. I understand if it's harder to make some games playable compared to others, GT6 was quite heavy on the PS3 compared to earlier games in its lifetime, but I still feel like it would be good to look into it a bit more. Maybe take the top 10 most popular games the PS3 ever had and work on making those decently playable. Doing so might net you a lot more people using and supporting the emulator. Me and quite a few people I know would absolutely love to play Midnight Club LA again but can't as we either can't find a copy of the game or a PS3 for a decent price, and while it is fully playable on the emulator now it's usually at around 10 fps with flickering. I'm not saying the devs should drop everything and focus on one game that was popular, but I am saying maybe looking into how they could make it play better might help other similar games that came out around the same time, it stands to reason that if two games used the same engine or techniques to work then fixing one should help the other right?

Has it ever occurred to you that by working on different games at a time the similar methods can be used to fix problems on more popular titles? A large variety of different games struggle with the same issues (emulator desynchronization etc) and by correcting it on one title it could easily be corrected on a AAA title?

My problem same too do whne you see this video 24m:23s ---> 25m:16s. No error message, and the FPS counter is moving, but the pictures stopped.
I have no idea how to fix this. Maybe TSX supporting CPU is helping for this. Here is the another video and  maybe playablle this game here !

I think solved the freezing problem!
So i try . 0.0.8.- 9313 and the key is the PPU-Interpreter selected. The game slower, but these freezing solved!

Sometimes freezing again these error message. SPU Block Size Mega not helped.

Gran Turismo 6 [BCES01893] works well and with good FPS.
Only one problem: some tracks are unplayble and allways crashing on load.

Most important things to get GT6 working:
  • do not update the game above v1.05.
  • Force CPU blit emulation (Debug menu)
  • use GPU Texture Scaling (Debug menu)
Everything else are default settings.
PS3 firmware v4.81

My System:
Win 10
Ryzen 5 3600
GeForce 2070

Tried with setting from Oren
it is Anniversary edition version 1.0 and crashes on start, both OpenGL and Vulkan

On version 1.15 it starts but everything is black ingame exept HUD (using Vulkan) and with OpenGL it is very slow like 10fps in menu
Sometimes driver name input windows won't open...

Latest RPCS3 and firmvare versions

Do someone have a working combination?

i7 8700k, GTX 1080 ti, 16gb RAM

Hi,

I tried the settings from Attellee and get better results, but story mode doesn´t works well.

Anybody know whether GT 5 works better than GT6 on RPCS3??
