Please update RPCS3, i think that crash was fixed in the version directly after the one you used. If it's still happening, try OpenGL. Since that error only happens with Vulkan, if OpenGL performance is good enough it can still be considered playable.

I tried with the next version from that one (v0.0.6-7881-3ef16bee) and it seems you're correct, I played about 10 songs and the game never crashes, where as before I was lucky if I could play 2. Ok, seems playable to me!
I also included another screenshot and the new log from the playable version.
Ohh, and I tried with OpenGL, the performance is a little worse comparing to Vulkan, not to mention it takes an insane amount of time to compile all shaders.

Moved to playable, but you are missing one more screenshot still.

any suggestions on how to get RPCS3 to see the guitar? Windows Settings > Devices > RB3 Guitar > Game Controller Settings > Guitar > Properties > Test works
Did you set PAD Type as Guitar on PAD Settings?

i FINALLY found the RB3 adapter... i THINK the way i finally got it working was by going to Devices > Properties (of Guitar) > Game Controller Settings > Advanced > chose Harmonix Guitar for Playstation 3 as "Preferred Device"

I have the Xbox 360 version of the guitar peripheral, and using xinput all the buttons seem to work as intended except for blue and yellow being reversed. Using mmjoystick option the button mappings make absolutely no sense. All inputs are set up as Guitar on PAD settings. Is there any way to work around this, even remap the xinput buttons, perhaps through an ini or config file, as well as the mmjoystick? If i try to adjust using the interface, the PAD settings reset to default and it is impossible to input a button due to some other part of the controller always being active (whammy, or motion sensor). Thanks.

I have a Rock Band 2 guitar and adapter but no reason for that to be an issue. Any thoughts?

Next question, is there a way to install the original rock band tracks into rock band 2 similar how you unlocked it on the ps3?
