I cant runt it in 1080p though
Changing the default resolution will just prevent the game from booting. No point in even messing with any other setting besides AF and strict rendering mode at this point seeing as SRM is required for the game to even boot, and AF doesn't really cause any performance losses. I believe I'm averaging about 23-25 in towns, and that's with an 8700k OC'd to 4.7.

Considering it's been almost 9 years since the PS3 release, it won't hurt to wait a bit longer for this game to be playable. Considering Xillia is pretty much playable now, I'm sure Vesperia won't be too much longer.

Is there anyway to get past the crashes(trap errors) as mentioned by GeniusMage on the first page, without loading a safe file further into the game?

It has been almost a year already since he posted those, so they've probably been fixed already. But, in what areas exactly? I've gotten to Deidon Hold without any crashes so far.

I consistently crash when getting the world map as you're leaving Zaphias. This has been the case on all the versions of RPCS3 I've tried and I've also tried many different settings, It's not like I haven't tested this regularely, and it always happen at the same point. Always the same save file though, so I guess it could be possible it's broken?

This is all on a R9 Nano, 2500k, 16gb RAM, Windows 10. Has happened on many different versions of Radeon drivers and windows 10.

EDIT: Got past it now on the latest version, but it crashed first time and it worked after I tried again.

As of now with the latest RPCS3 the game got massive performance boost, making it playable.
Is there any workaround with the Strict Rendering Mode?

With the improvements in 6852, and Pauls-GH identifying the half-black menu bug, should we consider this game playable now for the most part? I've had no trouble playing the game in excess of 30 FPS now, battles seem to hang around high 50s-60 FPS, skits seem to play at their normal speed (mainly on the world map but I'm assuming that's because it's now playing at 30 FPS). Obviously YMMV depending on specs though. I haven't done completely thorough testing yet, I've only used OpenGL and the SPU LLVM Recompiler (instead of ASMJIT).

I got 16gb ram dd3, i5 4690 and amd r9 290, and while in menu i get 60 fps, in game i'm costantly between 6 and 8 fps, while with older build i was on 12 fps constantly. although, on those 12 fps every movement was in slow motion, while now the animations are right.

edit: it seems that fps dropdown happens only in certain initial areas. when yuri gets to manor, fps goes from 27/30 to full 60, that's sweet!. anyway, those half-screen problems are still there, but the game seems totally playable, even with those downside.

Having done some playing myself, I notice that whenever the game has to show water/reflective surfaces, the FPS quickly drops down to 12~25. (Although opening the status menu has it return to 60 FPS) There was also a couple of fights with 3 soldiers that caused the FPS in battle to drop to 40 instead of just being 60. It's still playable regardless.
