new build from nekotina caused me to crash when fishing. but i did see a few bit fps increase when playing in a low fps area. prior build (below) i was getting about 20-21 fps, with new build (above) around 23 fps. i still have the log i think, last time i tried to upload one it erased my entire post. i'll try after i get the text out of the way.
went back to rpcs3-v0.0.3-2017-09-14-07af701a_win64 build; the game works great in OpenGL, PPU-LLVM, SPU-JIT,
using i-7 3770k, GTX 670, 16gb ram
it has some low fps in places mentioned in previous posts, lowest i've gotten consistently in an area is about 14 fps, so it's not bad, menus and battles are 30 fps.
There is some serious texture corruption going on but from what i've observed it happens only when you open the menu (with the Y or Triangle button), then you may get blacked out textures on faces that are more pale or objects that have a high amount of white color on them, like Toval's clothes, Elise' face, wings on some creatures, etc.
I've tried to play as long as i dared without opening the menu and have never run into any texture corruption. only when i open the menu it's pretty much a guarantee that something funky is about to happen in the near future, like a face or enemy graphic replacing all the battle menu options or bizarre stretching and artifacts on characters displayed in the menu. I'm sure most of this is known about. looking at what kd-11 is working on now with the depth and blit stuff, i'm hoping it has some positive effects for this game.
I did try to stick it out with using write color buffers option on, and i saw no texture issues even after going through the menus repeatedly, however, max fps is about 10 for me. most of the time it's around 7. most of the other options do nothing for me in terms of improvements.
*edit: i forgot to add, saving, then loading will help some of the texture issues, but from what i've seen there are two separate issues. if the ground or some other textures are rendering black or dark, you do a quick save/load and they may get fixed, but then you'll have the bizarre texture problems. you can do this and it pretty much just switches it from one problem to the other. the only reliable way to fix the issues is to reload the game. one workaround may be to be able to access the save/load dialog on a hotkey without going through the menu. not sure if that's even doable.
