So the website listed in the Quickstart for getting IRD files has been down for at least a few months now.  Like me, some users with capable computers might not have a modded PS3 to dump the files or feel uncomfortable modding the one they have.  Are there plans in place to provide a fix?  I remember seeing that on the Roadmap.  "The ability to read PS3 discs" or something.

It is down. The website itself loads, but when clicking the Download button for any IRD file, it goes to a page with garbage characters and does nothing. I think the downloads were removed.

For me it does pretty good. I´ve tried the first ird file listed there BCAS20001 RIDGE RACER 7 just to check.

No.. it's not down, you're not downloading the file properly. You're opening them as binaries. You need to right click the binaries and select Save Link As.

by the way is there a place in the forum to Request IRDs if they aren't in the library? because I have a few games I would really love to run, but obviously with a PS4 sloim which isnt really easily moddable that way goes out of the window but I have a drive that can apparently read PS3 discs no problem so I am going that route, but sadly enough of the games I play don't have an IRD posted.

A place to request an IRD file not in the list really would be a good thing.

I could be speaking out of my butt here, but as i understand it, the only way to produce and ird file is to obtain what is now an almost impossible CD drive that you have to hard mod into your ps3. Its difficult to get your hands on due to the fact that the people who were making them (3K3Y) are no longer an active part of the community. With no way to obtain new IRD file, having a request system would be pointless since all IRD files that have been created are there.

This could not be true anymore, admittedly, im playing a game right now that had no IRD file but one of the devs managed to pop one out for me using some black magic f******. To my knowledge though, this method hasnt been adopted or used, and IRDs remain grid locked.

while certainly not untrue there are probably quite a few ppl who have that stuff already, and if they can help making IRD files we might be able to get more IRDs, which in the end will make everything more accessible.
