Problem with guitar controller

I have a problem with the emulator. It turns out that I want to play the original rock band games, everything is perfect but I found the problem when configuring the controls. I configure the controller as if it were a guitar with MMjoys, so far everything is perfect. When configuring the "strum" (dpad up and dpad down in the emulator), it configures them as if the strum bar were an axis and not a button, and what this does in the game is that in the menu , the game assumes that the strum up button is pressed forever. Is there a way to make it make a "cut" so that it is not pressed forever and takes it as a button? thank you in advance
