I am new to this forum, and I hope it is the right section (in case it is wrong, You may move this topic to the right area).
I am here to ask You support for Demon's Souls: I tried to rip my original BLES-00932 game (PS3 Essentials) both with my slim PS3 and with a supported PC drive, following the quickstart guide onto Your website, I tried even the IRD method, I tried configuring the game letting it download the needed shaders files, I think I have done everything, and in none of these situations the game starts, but it freezes where there is the black screen with the "Demon's Souls" and the bubbles in the bottom left corner!
As last hope, I asked a friend of mine to borrow me his first release Demon's Souls copy that is NOT PS3 Essentials and tried to rip even this with my modded PS3, than I checked my copy with IRD and everything matches, but nothing changes as well. I even tried to rebuild an encrypted iso from the JB folders, using the ird with my friend's copy (since PS3 Essential Ird does not match, and I do not know hot to do to extract the correct ird from my demon's Souls disc).
I tried the game onto two Windows 10 x64 PCs, a desktop with an AMD CPU, a Zotac nVidia GTX 980 TI Amp Extreme, RAM 32Gb, and a MSI Notebook with 64Gb RAM, a nVidia GTX 1080 and an Intel CPU.
In both of these situations nothing changed, the game simply does not boot!
Have You got any suggestions to give me, please? Huh
Thank s to everyone who wants to help me!

If you have PS3, there is no point using rpcs3 emulator. Emulator is still too underdeveloped, current 10-30 fps (and accidental crashes) is no match for stable 30 fps for PS3. May be year or two later

> AMD FX™-9590 Eight-Core Processor | 8 Threads | 31.90 GiB RAM | AVX

Here's your issue as far as performance goes.
Your CPU is garbage. Any of the AM3+ CPUs are.

As for booting the game, you're likely missing some files in your dump. Try clearing cache on dev_hdd1 to make sure it's not stuck with dirty cache first.

Thanks for answering me, Ani!
I'm wondering if I create Demon's Souls iso with a compatible PC BD drive (like LG BH16NS55, which I tested it reads PS2 discs with its latest 1.03 firmware), do You think I may solve the problem?
And one last thing: in the quickstart session of the website it is said to create a iso by the original disc using software like Imagburn (and others like that).
Once this iso is created, the one created like this is equal to that one created by multiman folders, than encrypted with IRDs, or are there any differences?
Thank You very much!

The ISO you make as a clone with software like ImgBurn is a clone of the encrypted disc contents, you'll need to decrypt them next with IRD.
Multiman dumps the game files already decrypted without any need to go through the IRD process, although it may split files due to filesystem limitations, files that need to be rejoined on the computer afterwards.

First of all, thank You very much for answering me!
Maybe I have explained myself in a wrong way (that's my fault!): what I only wanted to know is if the iso I get by creating it with a compatible PC reader is already encrypted and, theorically, can be copied to PS3 hdd and used it to play online, just like if it was an iso recreated bu multiman folders together with 3k3y Isotools and its IRD file together.
All the other things, which is rpcs3 needs the folder structure game, I already know.
I wanted to know this since I'm trying to backup my games in both formats, encrypted IRD isos to use it on my PS3 slim console, and folders structure games (without PS3_UPDATE folder) to use them with RPCS3.
By the way, do You think in the future will be possible to use RPCS3 both with folder structure games and encrypted IRD ISOs?
One last thing: I deleted all cache into my rpcs3 emulator cache folders and Demon's Souls seems to boot (even if some errors messages still appear), however, in the character creation process, I cannot give him a name, since the game stucks here and I can't go on!
Could it be entering names in games where it is requested by using keyboard is not emulated yet? In conclusion, may You tell me why AM3+ cpus are rubbish? Could be better new Ryzen and i9 cpus? I'm considering buying one of them after August, more or less, however, when prices decreases a little while, since I am considering an i9 18-core processor
Thank You very much again!

Ok , I succedeed in making Demon's Souls boot, but now I'm wondering how to use its PS3 real save with rpcs3, since I copied the whole PS3 real save folder onto the right position in: dev_hdd0\home\00000001\savedata folder, deleting the previous one before copying but it seems it does not work! Could it be because the original save has to be resigned to work in rpcs3? If so, how can I do this?
By the way, is it normal the game is very slow and it keeps on updating shaders every4 or five seconds, more or less?

https://github.com/BuXXe/PARAM.PFD-PS3-D...egame-Tool

it uses python, and sadly I have zero experience using it

any help is much appreciated!
