RE: RPCS3 FAQ - Ekaseo - 12-17-2012

I have been looking around the net for some homebrew games for ps3, but there were many .pkg files, they seem to be builds for the PS3 from .elf files, so my question is : is there a way to make .pkg files to .elf ? if there is a way, then there are many homebrew games, simple or complex that we can test on emu.
here are sites with games:

http://store.brewology.com/homebrew.php?lang=

Ekaseo, first step - unpack contents of pkg package using tool, like this one, use scetool to decrypt eboot.bin. But i doubt, that some of those homebrew will show something, except various errors in log.

Hey I saw that the auto banning bot banned you for posting those links, took me a while to figure how to lift it Tongue

Regarding your question:Rpcs3 can merely load an elf but you can try as BlackDaemon said

Ekaseo2, removed ban. It's some 'banning' epidemia at last few days - nash67 was banned several times, now you. *crazy*

thnx, and for what i wanted to post:
I will keep looking for some games, and do you think it could run pong?

RE: RPCS3 FAQ - BlackDaemon - 12-17-2012

Ekaseo, i highly doubt, that some homebrew (like pong, because i have one, and it's 'dead') will run atm.

well, its a simple game, so i thought... maybe, just maybe this could work, on those sites i posted is pong ported to ps3, it just needs to turn it to .elf

RE: RPCS3 FAQ - Ekaseo - 01-02-2013

RE: RPCS3 FAQ - Runo - 01-02-2013
