5800X vs 5800X3d and new here - Tbone3366GG - 03-14-2024 Hi I've been using this emu for a long time now but this is my first post here, happy to see where it's gone So I came into possession of a free b550 Asus board and currently I'm running a Xeon 2699V3 with some bios mods to run locked at its full turbo but I wanted to use this b550 board with either a 5800X or 5800X3d but I don't know what the percentage difference is between the 2 cpus 1080TI FTW3 32GBs of tightened up 2400mhz ddr4 My ps3 collection consists of Mgs4 Hawx Ratchet and clank tools of destruction Sly 4 And some other less optimized titles On the minor titles even some Sony exclusives like ratchet and sly the xeon runs pretty much like how my ps3 does What I'm looking for is if anyone has performance numbers in these or similar games with the 5800x and 5800X3d I should also add in that I'm not looking for a perfect 60 I'm just looking to be able to see atleast 30fps on avg if possible The xeon gets the job done well though RE: 5800X vs 5800X3d and new here - Ani - 03-17-2024 For RPCS3, 5800X3D is slightly worse than 5800X due to lower clocks, but not by much. It's better for native PC games due to the 3D cache, so you might want to base your decision off that instead. Apologies for the severely late reply I went with the 5700x3d, could not justify the 58x3d as I picked the 57 up for 95 on amazon new as the seller had a typo Performance wise I'm very happy with it and it runs most of my ps3 games very well for the most part with some games running poorly but im not really interested in them as I have the pc versions Mgs4 runs at about 60avg a lot of the times and dips down but way better than the ps3 ever did |
