Improving performance for constant 60FPS in Fighting Games - barroterri9000 - 01-06-2024 I firstly want to thank the team for making such a fantastic emulator, and for providing support in the forums. I really appreciate the effort you folks go through for the benefit of this project. I am trying to play fighting games on RPCS3, but I am finding the emulator dips slightly below 60FPS regularly. It's nothing crazy, never below 54~FPS or so, but it does sometimes cause a noticable stutter that affects timing sensitive aspects of gameplay. Maintaining a stable 60FPS is really important for fighting games. I would like assistance with keeping performance as close to 59/60FPS as possible for Tekken 5 DR and Tekken 6. Currently, my performance is good, but I am noticing dropped combos and subtle micro-stutters when playing. RPCS3 Version: 0.0.30-15916-80b7fd5f Alpha | master All settings currently on default. Games: TEKKEN 6 [BLUS30359] TEKKEN®5 DARK RESURRECTION ONLINE [NPUB30009] My PC Hardware: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT RAM: 64GB CL16 3600mhz SSD: PCIe 4 enabled NVME drive Thanks so much for reading, please let me know if you need any more info. If there are any optimisations, adjustments, etc that I can make to improve performance, please let me know. I'm hoping I can tame the performance of these games and run retro Tekken tournaments at my locals haha. RE: Improving performance for constant 60FPS in Fighting Games - barroterri9000 - 06-24-2024 Just a polite bump on this one (is that allowed?). If there are any adjustments to settings I can make, or if this emulator simply plays nicer with different hardware, I'd like to know what they are. |
