Metal Gear Solid 4 - DanteTheK9 - 10-25-2023 Okay, so I've followed the instructions on the wiki to get MGS4 going and...it isn't. First attempt, it started compiling PPU and triggered an apparent kernal panic. Changed the setting so that it wouldn't try to precompile all those modules and got the game to boot. Hit the X button on my Dualshock 3 when it gives the message about autosaving, goes to the loading screen and...just sits there until RPCS3 crashes to desktop. I freely admit, I'm not much of a techie, so I'm hoping someone can ELI5 me, any guidance that could be provided would be greatly appreciated System specs are in the attached image. The Dropbox link below is the log file. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0ybkho77cnnpwmc87hjbm/rpcs3-v0.0.29-15696-f9d21365_win64.7z?rlkey=9bse41lwdby31w2v0b79s7zy6&dl=0 RE: Metal Gear Solid 4 - Ani - 10-29-2023 Missing log file The dropbox link does not point to a log file, it's just the 7z for a RPCS3 build RE: Metal Gear Solid 4 - DanteTheK9 - 10-30-2023 (10-29-2023, 02:43 PM)Ani Wrote: Missing log file That was the closest thing I could find to a log file. If there are instructions on where to find it, I couldn't find them. Like I said, I am the most basic of basic in terms of tech knowhow. I can follow step by step instructions, but that's about it. Where should I be looking? RE: Metal Gear Solid 4 - L0WHAWK - 12-16-2023 (10-30-2023, 01:45 PM)DanteTheK9 Wrote:(10-29-2023, 02:43 PM)Ani Wrote: Missing log file I will try to help. I see you never got any response when asked. In the RPCS3 folder, after you run RPCS3 and close it, you will create a log file. It will be zipped and the name will be RPCS3.log.gz Sorry it took almost 2 months to get a response of help to you, as I'm just a user and don't frequent the support section much... I hope this has helped you, if you are still in need of this info. But it is always good to respond and close a subject, especially in support, in a timely manner. Especially on simple things like this. |
