Jak 2 side mission bug - legend917 - 03-12-2023
I noticed when playing Jak 2 that a very specific side mission, when completed, consistently causes the game to freeze and RPCS3 to crash. I attached some screenshots of the side mission and my RPCS3 logs. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me figure out what's going on here.

Try disabling Async Texture Streaming and Multithreaded RSX

well that was nice and easy. that fixed it! thank you! Is there a particular reason that made you point those 2 settings out specifically?

This game is quite RSX intensive and both of those settings affect the RSX emulation, Async Texture Streaming has been known to cause graphic issues and freezing in some cases, and I believe Multithreaded RSX can also cause freezing in very rare cases
