Steam Deck - Segfault error when installing firmware - rpcs3asdf - 03-17-2022
This only happens when using the flatpack version (if that's the proper name, no idea about Linux) from the Discover thing on SteamOS. The AppImage version downloaded from here doesn't have this problem.
After selecting the firmware file (4.88, checksum verified) and getting the message "Successfully installed", RPCS3 begins compiling the PPUs and then displays the error seen on the screenshot. The program then closes after clicking OK and doesn't seem to leave any log. Games will run to a point but then crash.
The updater also won't work (Failed to move AppImage file - read only) but I assume that it's not supposed to since the updates would come over Discover, right?

The Flatpak version is not maintained by the RPCS3 devs, do not use it
