Move dev_hdd0/1 Directories - wanderer189 - 01-27-2020

Hi, is there a way to move the dev_hdd0 & 1 folders to a different hdd other than the one that RPCS3 is located? I have about 1TB of data in them and would like to be able to share it with another pc, rather than having 2 copies of the same data.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Ok, the games are installed in the default directories. Will the following steps work correctly?

1. make a copy of the dev_flash, dev_hdd0, dev_hdd1 and dev_usb000 on a new hard drive.
2. Point RPCS3 to the new folders in the Virtual File System
3. Delete original dev_flash, dev_hdd0dev_hdd1 and dev_usb000.

All will work without having to re-install everything from packages again?

I really want to make sure before I mess up over a TB of games...haha

Yes, you can only use one VFS directory, so you'll know if it works when you point it to the newer directory
