Fighting Games - a serious dilemma. - hinotoumei - 06-07-2019 I have noticed, from testing many fighting games, that most of those labled as "playable" are not in fact playable, barely running at all with sever audio glitches and massive graphical issues. On the other hand..the one figthing game that is actually 100% playable, Mortal Kombat 9 - MK vs DC Universe..is labled as in game. There are minor graphical issues, none of which interfere with gameplay in any way. Yet this game has been stuck labled in game for quite some time Meanwhile games such as Dot hack vs - 15fps Soul Calibur 2 HD - severe audio issues, graphical issues, 15fps during menus Soul Calibur 4 and 5 - same as above Tekken 6 - same as above are all labled as playable, despite the fact they are not playable in any way. To me, a fighting game is playable only when it runs at an acceptable frame rate and has nothing on screen that intereferes with gameplay. To my knowledge, the only fighting game I have found on the PS3 that meets these criteria is MK9, and it is incorrectly, IMO , labled as In game. I have beaten the story and completed the arcade ladder on two difficulties.. Please correct this, and also, give some thought into having stricter regulations in regards to labelling fighting games. Thanks for your time. RE: Fighting Games - a serious dilemma. - Ani - 06-07-2019 Soul Calibur 2 HD Playable without performance issues, including menus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nr-EPF50_Lk SoulCalibur IV Playable without performance issues, including menus https://youtu.be/_YakDw4l1Ao?t=453 Tekken 6 Playable without performance issues, including menus https://youtu.be/h-_Sukkcshg?t=166 .hack//versus Playable without performance issues, including menus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KTArPo-lLg The games you mentioned work fine, if you can't get them to work then ask for support with it instead of claiming they're not Playable. If you can play MK9 just fine, then make a Playable Report for it. If one never gets made, the game will never be moved. I did take the time to go through the forums and follow all steps for each of those individual games. I shall do this again, however I shall repeat myself in stating 60fps is a basic requirement for playing any fighting game.. If the game fails to be emulated at this rate the. It should not be labeled as playable. That is just my opinion. Even the one guy testing. Hack admits it runs at barely 40fps. Fighting games need to have stricter guidelines due to the nature of the genre. That was my main point. Mk9 runs above 60 fps with non game breaking glitches. I will make a report when I get the chance and figure out how I have downloaded the newest version of rpcs3, which these youtubers often fail to do and will reexplore these games. Have a great day. Excuse the typos.. My puny android phone has a lot of lag. RE: Fighting Games - a serious dilemma. - Ani - 06-07-2019 All of these videos were made on master builds, all of them show FPS counters either on the window title or on an overlay, and all of them are running at full performance. All of them are running at 60FPS except .hack//versus which is locked to 30 FPS on the console itself therefore also runs at locked 30 FPS on RPCS3, at full speed and therefore Playable. Also just tested TEKKEN 6 myself (and my PC is below recommended specs) and it's Playable. |
