Dragon Quest Builder [BLJM61311] can't save - Qumojo - 01-01-2019

The game seems to be fully playable, no problem there, just that when I go and try to create a save it exits the menu where you create the save. It doesn't matter what a press, X or O, it just cancels the action of creating a save state in the game. I've tried Japanese as the main language, change X/O buttons assignment. I am using the English patch.
Anyone that has the same issue or a save state at the beginning of the game that would like to share it with me to see if that passes the first creation of the save. I think the problem is with the menu of the consol that doesn't record X/O as the active button for the OK button (button to do the action) but registres any button as CANCEL action instead. And I guess that won't change even if I've already got an save.
