NBA JAM: On Fire Edition [NPEB00650] - IlDucci - 08-12-2018

rpcs3-v0.0.5-7175-801089cf_win64
PPU Decoder: Recompiler (LLVM)
SPU Decoder: Recompiler (ASMJIT)
Renderer: OpenGL
GPU: Use GPU Texture Scaling, Disable Vertex Cache

Framerate is all over the place. Whenever the NBA JAM logo shows up, the framerate takes a huge hit. During matches sometimes works OK, sometimes it stutters or freezes temporarily. Only works on OpenGL (Vulkan is like a snail: The EA Sports logo goes veery slow). Also, some weird filesystem messages before starting the game.

Same config as before. It seems the last updates have fixed the menus and reduced the impact on the NBA JAM's flaming ball appearance. Unfortunately, the game hangs as soon as you get to a loading screen. DOWNGRADED TO INGAME.

Why are we downgrading? Let's just keep this where it's trully at, submit a regression report, track there, link to it from thread.

The game is fully playable on rpcs3, just not exact at this temporary snapshot in time.

Also as I suspected, the game works fine on the latest master, as it has for the past year.

Move the back to Playable please.

I have only been able to replicate your settings the first time I've tested, where the game worked on Vulkan but at a slow pace (Even if the framecounter was at 120FPS). I've tried to read the logs in order to replicate them, but it seems now I'm unable to (All my last attempts, both in Vulkan and OpenGL, ended up freezing . Could you please help me out and tell me the proper settings?

No video additional settings enabled

Game works nearly flawlessly now. No more slowdowns when the NBA Jam flaming ball appears.
