Game seemed playable last time I tried, but now it freezes after few minutes of playing. Besides - there is no grass (like in Resistance 1 and 3) and some light sources are broken.

with new update this game is labled incorrectly as playable. It is not playable. In fact it runs WORSE than it did in previous versions IE DOESN'T RUN AT ALL. Before this new version update, the game ACTUALLY LOADED and went to the menu screen where it just hung there..
now, it just stalls out after compiling frozen perpetually at about 2fps doing nothing.
According to the wiki this game runs fine at default settings and no changes need to be made.
WHo tested this may I ask, cuz this is false.

We'll need an emulator log to try and find out why this is happening, it was working fine the last time I tried it

I just tested it and it's not working for me either. Certainly looks nicer, but it still freezes in the exact same spot in the first level.
After hitting the robot mech thing and running through a tunnel where it tells you to crouch, it always freezes around that spot. If you load a checkpoint save you can get past that, but then the game crashes a short while later with a:
F {RSX [0x19f7a1c]} SIG: Thread terminated due to fatal error: Verification failed
(in file D:\a\1\s\rpcs3\Emu\RSX\VK\VKRenderTargets.h:81[:10], in function as_rtt)

Double post:
Was able to fix the issue I was having with the freezes (I hope). Switching to default settings, turning off the patches I had enabled (unlocked FPS), unticking "Accurate xFloat" and turning off FSR upscaling resulted in me being able to get through the entire first level without a freeze. And all the audio worked intro as that hadn't worked when the guy in the helicopter spoke.

How did you fix the shuttering audio in the cutscenes? For me, are broken, Moving a little in the Audio tab does not fix the problem.

I addressed that at the start of the video. Switching to defaults and turning off patches resolved it.
Unfortunately I've encountered issues in the later levels. Chapter 1 for example has this one spot (where you find the first intel in the level) and the emulator crashed 4 times on me. Was able to brute force my way past it, but it was very annoying.
