RE: Final Fantasy XIII [BLUS30416] - klepp0906 - 07-07-2019

RPCS3 0.0.6-8331-6d65d342 Alpha

Does nothing and throws this error using OGL
F {RSX [0x0004254]} RSX: class std::runtime_error thrown: Verification failed (e=0x7f):
(in file c:\projects\rpcs3\rpcs3\emu\rsx\gl\glrendertargets.cpp:642)

Vulkan boots but crashes RPCS3 after opening cutscene with
RPCS3: Fatal Error
Unhandled Win32 exception 0xC0000005
Segfault reading location 00000000000000000100 at 0000000006f26fb7e.

Module name: 'nvoglv64.dll'.
Module base: 0000000006e2d0000.
RPCS3 image base: 0000000000010000

Is this going to be added to the compatibility database? For whatever reason the game is identified by its (serial?) MRTC00003 and not its gameID. The single only game I have that doesnt show a circle indicating its compatibility status in RPCS3.

RE: Final Fantasy XIII [BLUS30416] - Metasynic - 09-09-2019

I also managed to get it working with the same settings, but I had an incessant black flickering over the entire left two-thirds of my screen, which could only be fixed by enabling "write colour buffers" and maximising and unmaximising the window. @"Amplifeye" did you also have this problem?

Specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
Nvidia GTX 970
16GB RAM

EDIT: After starting a new game and skipping the first cutscene I crashed with a ucrtbase.dll 0xc0000409 segfault. Possibly a Ryzen problem? It worked fine when I watched the entire cutscene through.
Ended up softlocking after killing the tutorial enemy - Lightning and the enemy just stand there with no UI elements present, and no way to continue, although the camera can still move.

my friend was able to play this game fine using a AMD RX 580. at the same chapters as me. i think the more important is have a good single core single thread performance CPU. my old AMD FX 8350 over clocked couldnt run this emulator at all. but my ryzen 3700x over clocked. can run this emulator really good. of course my rtx 2070 is good for 1440p and some at 4k with this emulator .but people with a GTX 1060 r RX 580 can use this emualtor at native to 1080p fine if their CPU is good enough.

I have a GTX 1070 Ti 8GB and a AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core CPU now
but I am only getting maybe 10 fps at 720p...
right now so the game really is not playable for me..
I guess I should just use the PC Steam version...

That doesn't sound right at all, I have a 5800x and I'm at a locked 30fps through the first part of the game at 4k so I wouldn't expect it to be that bad. Perhaps you should go to the help channel in the Discord server? Or maybe if you post the log here?

Here is my last/recent log file...
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9qv4w0juhql7jsn/RPCS3.log.zip?dl=0

I went to the RPCS3 Discord server and they helped me sort it out...
it was among other settings issues the reduced resolution..
ie. I had it set to smaller then recommended 1280x720p is recommended....
720x480 is what I set it to. before correcting it...
