There was indeed a time this game was playable

Game is crashing more than the last time I played it several months ago. I'm only a little under two hours in and it keeps freezing locking up every 10 minutes or so. Settings are default except resolution scaling set to 150% and Driver Wake-up Delay set to 200. I also unticked Read Color Buffers as it seemed to fix a few graphical bugs.

Completed the game with no major errors, minor graphical error with water but can't say if it just looked like that on the ps3. No settings changed from default.
