RE: MOTORSTORM: PACIFIC RIFT [BCES00129] - KEVU - 11-21-2019 I think it should be moved to playable. Game works fine fps just dips to 19-25fps at start of races that have a lot of AI/models on screen at same time but after couple of seconds it works between 28-30 for rest of the race. I dont know if Log will go up here as attachment so i uploaded it here in case : https://gofile.io/?c=HjJIO4 RE: MOTORSTORM: PACIFIC RIFT [BCES00129] - Jgr9 - 11-21-2019 Worked for me finally, with Write Color Buffers enabled, but only on Vulkan? Didn't seem like it was working on GL, but maybe I should've waiting longer or something. It took quite a while for the lighting to stop being blown out when starting the first race with Vulkan, but it got through it and worked. Pretty blurry with everything else at default though. And like 16 FPS with only 1 opponent, but I don't have the highest end of hardware at this point. The dynamic mud has made a lot of progress recently I see. However I did notice one large spot on the first track where it seemed to reverse itself once driven on - It's supposed to be grass that turns to mud, but flipped to the opposite, with grass tracks lol - On the left along the backstretch of the first track in Wreckreation. Settings ive got best performance with in attachment(should be visible clearly but i did this shit fast with paint lmao) GPU Settings Default apart from Write Color Buffers and Vulkan renderer I never even tried Open GL. Important is to use Mega SPU Block Size at least in my case it eliminated stuttering. I can play for longer and provide longer log if devs need it. That CPU has only 6 threads and doesnt support TSX so I think people with better CPU will get even better performance. I also tried couple of races with 3 opponnents for you and they work fine only first track dipped to 26 fps like for 5 seconds then its a full speed for rest of whole race. RE: MOTORSTORM: PACIFIC RIFT [BCES00129] - Jgr9 - 11-21-2019 Meh, I actually didn't get any stuttering after it completely loaded in. I have 8 threads and left it on Auto. i7 2600K, which is older. I also only have a GTX 1650. No stuttering with Block Size at Safe either. I'm skeptical if changing those would actually improve my framerate. If you get only 16 fps even with a race with one AI opponent then yeah this definetly wont help with your performance actually 16fps was lowest ive ever saw and it was when I started playing and emulator was building Mega SPU cache/Compiling shaders with 16 AI models on screen at same time. I wanted to record gameplay but it tanks my performance probably because my CPU is already at its peak in gameplay usage is at 80-95% when game is working at full speed(30fps). There are certain tracks with worse performance where it dips at certain spots to about 26-28 fps occasionaly for a very short time but overall its very playable I actually almost completed whole game already(now I have like 15 races left). RE: MOTORSTORM: PACIFIC RIFT [BCES00129] - Sandi1987 - 11-22-2019 So, it's Playable now? I'm hovering around 30fps with dips every now and again but stable for the most part. I tried increasing vblank just to see my fps (it doesn't work right) and I rarely get above 40fps. I had to enable write color buffers to fix the lighting otherwise everything was blown out. SPU block size at giga caused crash on startup, mega didn't yield any performance increase. Changing SPU threads from auto to 1 or 2 didn't provide any better performance. Resolution scale at 200% cuts performance in half to around 15 - 25 fps. That all being said I'm hesitant to play this because it seems to be causing my hard drive to make quite a bit of noise. The activity is registering around 5-11% which isn't anything out of the ordinary but its constant during gameplay which I don't usually see in other titles. So as I'm playing I can just hear my hard drive reading and writing like crazy. If anyone has a suggestion on what might be causing this or how to prevent it that would help. (but idk for sure). sigh, performance might have improved a bit for me, closer to 20, maybe reaching 25 at points (besides 30 in a corner and opponents still kills it), but I'm still not sure I can ever expect a full 30 at default res on a 2600K. RE: MotorStorm: Pacific Rift [BCES00129] - Almonjin - 02-08-2021 I used the same options as Kevu shared and it's working great. At first it was like 10 fps, but I changed the Resolution Scale in the GPU tab from 300% to 150%, and now I get stable 60 fps. Done atleast 12 races. If u still have low fps with 150%, try 100%. RE: MotorStorm: Pacific Rift [BCES00129] - CasePB - 05-13-2021 I'm using the 60fps fix and I'm getting this real bad screen shake. Like the vehicle hits a rock every other second but I'm actually traveling at full speed. Anyone know of a fix for this? It's making it almost unplayable for me. |
