Full Version: RPCS3 crashes in game with Vulkan, but works with OpenGL

Hello, I'm new with RPCS3

I'm trying to run old game NHL 09 PS3.

When I choose Vulkan renderer, the game runs. I can choose teams in game, run game and when arena, players appear, the game hangs completely. It doesn't respont to keyboard, display turns off. Sound continues for some time, and I need to reboot by turning my pc off.

I changed renderer to OpenGL, and there are no hanging anymore. But I think that FPS decreased significantly.

Is it normal? Or what am I doing wrong? Is my PC configuration allows to use Vulkan?

My PC configuration: Ryzen 5 4600g, 16Gb DDR4 RAM, SSD m2 nvme 500Gb.

With multiple PCs with various drivers, there will always be a hiccup somewhere. So it is good to have a choice.. OpenGL has been around since the dark ages and is widely accepted, but it can be rather harsh to the FPS, if it isn't optimized for the game. I can play Assassin Creed titles with OpenGL but slow 15fps and I get 30fps steady with Vulkan, but they will always crash eventually with Vulkan, not with OpenGL.. At least not on my system.
