Hello!
I have a "powerful" workstation, running 13600k (6 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores), paired with a GT 610 (that is meant as a placeholder till I get a decent gpu in a few months), running windows 11.
can I run rpcs3 on it? if the latest build doesn't work, how about an older version?
the one and only game I'm interested to play is Demon's Souls, and honestly I'm ok with getting 25~30 fps with this setup.
is it possible?
Use the integrated graphics on your iGPU with Vulkan and see how it goes. Intel drivers are not officially supported due to their poor quality, but it might work.
Ooof I'm sorry but I may have forgotten to add the letter f on the CPU model, it doesn't have an integrated.
the latest nvidia driver version I could find for that card is 391.35.
I don't mind doing some trial and error. is there any known version of rpcs3 that could work with that generation of graphics cards?
What is your OS ?
GT 610 is Fermi 400 series so will be used opengl.
That video card will be much hot. You need use 720P to avoid slowdowns.
Hello!
ok so the main reason I asked this question was, I was using my workstation using RDP, and the display adaptor for rdp only supports opengl 1.1 even with hardware acceleration, and I was thinking it's the GT 610 that is only supporting opengl 1.1. and obviously with that, I couldn't run rpcs3 games (at least the Demon's Souls that I tried), so I came here looking for a version of rpcs3 that supports opengl 1.1.
after switching from RDP to NoMachine, which installs a virtual display driver, unlocking the full potential of the gpu, I had access to opengl 4.6, and yep, I was able to run Demon's Souls, but the fps was terrible obviously, even at lower res. so I gave up on gaming on this gpu till I buy a better one.
