Hi all!
I recently started back into emulation: downloaded the latest version of RPCS3, precompiled modules, plugged in Dualsense, and started enjoying several games, all of which had working audio. I went away for a weekend, and when I came back, I wanted to keep playing where I left off, this time testing using my Dualsense wirelessly. It connected and was detected by RPCS3 immediately, so I opened up a game again and all of a sudden there was no audio. I didn't have time to troubleshoot, so I waited a workday to and for a new update in hopes it would fix the issue, but still no audio.
I tried manually setting audio devices, changing the audio plugin, setting the buffer, defaulting all settings, not turning the controller on (sometimes windows uses it as an audio device, but it's disabled in windows and can't be found in RPCS3), rolling back the RPCS3 version to when the audio worked, but I still can't get audio out in any game. Attached is a log from LBP and the XMB, both for sure had working audio before my issues. I've tried several more games since for audio out and they do not work, but I have no proof of them working in the first place.
TL;DR. Audio worked on an update from 8/8, but does not work since 8/12 and rolling back updates does not work.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Fellas, you will not believe what the issue was. Turns out I had RPCS3 muted in the windows sound mixer 🙃🙃🙃.
For anyone who took the time to look into this, I'm sorry for wasting your time!
