Hello, I want to start by thanking the whole team dedicated to the development and maintenance of RPCS3, because of you I have been able to play the complete God of War series in my laptop.
Currently I am playing God of war: Ascension (EU: BCES01741). The game is suprisingly much more laggy compared to God of War III. Along with that, I am facing a weird camera glitch in
The Guardhouse chapter. The camera panning is much slower compared to Kratos' movement. As a result, Kratos goes out of focus.
I googled it, and tried out all the solutions, such as changing the renderer to OpenGL, switching off autosave in-game, lowering the resolution. Nothing works.
My laptop specs are:
- CPU - i7-9750H
- GPU - Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB (latest driver installed)
- RAM - 32 GB
- DX - 12
I was able to play GOW 1,2 and 3 quite decently. GOW 3 was somewhat laggy, but not that much as compared to ascension.
How do I fix this camera glitch? Please help me.
These kind of issues are normal when your performance is too low. 9750H is not enough for this game, otherwise it would be listed as Playable.
But I've seen people play this game smoothly on an i3 with gtx 1060 in youtube. I've copied their configuration settings too, but the result is still the same

Is there a way to play it in this CPU? Like is there any settings tweak that I have to do in the emulator so that I can play the game?
You have already been told that this CPU is too weak to play this game properly, we have had reports of low performance causing camera issues with this game

What is the solution to this? WIll a new patch be released to make it playable?
This game cannot be considered Playable on this CPU, probably ever, it's far too weak for that
I would say this is not a problem with the emulator, rather hardware triggering bugs through weak performance that was never expected on the PS3

Can you recommend any other ps3 emulator that I can try this game on?

There are no other ps3 emulators

In my case, it was solved by deleting all the save data and playing with OpenGL from the beginning. The performance for doing that is terrible, but the camera bug didn’t happen, and I finished level 4. I hope that helps if you want to try it
