I currently have an i7 7700hq laptop cpu slightly undervolted. I am upgrading my laptop but wanted to find out if the i7 11370h quad core cpu will emulate well enough or not.
Are the additional 2-4 cores necessary?
The reason. I'm asking on this is because I'm thinking of either the Triton 300 se or the zephyrus g14 (this one has an 8 core 5900hs).
I'm leaning towards the Triton 300 se because of its better build quality and clamshell ability, but that quad core cpu is my concern.

Yes, the extra cores are necessary for RPCS3 emulator.

Do the additional cores provide a significant boost?
Quickstart Guide specifically mentions no less than 8 core CPUs for laptop are the recommended specs

Yes for RPCS3.
Understood. 8 cores might be a problem for a slim laptop unless I get on the ryzens.
Just curious how well the i7 10700h 6 core intel does on this (I plan to use digaea d2, white knight, kill zone, and God of war ascension and dot game heroes and similar. No last of us or uncharted as I play those on my ps4 and I know those are especially hard to emulate on rpcs3).
A shame disgaea d2 wasn't re released on the 4 or steam. Luckily the disc is not difficult to find in retro game stores or online. I just bought it last week at my local gamestore and love it.
