Hi,

i need to buy a new pc, i don't know if laptop or desktop, also in order to use it with all my emulators. Which are the CPU/GPU and ram specs recommended in order to run this emulator with its best performance and with all the effects at maximum level?

For example, if I buy:
- a laptop:  i7 9750, GTX 1660Ti, 16GB RAM DDR4 2666 Mhz
- a desktop: i7 9700 (or i5 9600KF), GTX 1660Ti, 16GB RAM DDR4 2666 Mhz

Is it enough the above specs? What do you suggest?  I'm not interested to pc gaming, only to run every emulator at its best.

thank you
Desktop will be a lot faster, naturally. If you get a desktop, between those two definitely pick the 9700 instead of 9600KF, the extra threads help a lot.
OK thanks, so it is better a desktop. If so, i can buy for example:

CPU: i7 9700KF or AMD Ryzen 3700X
GPU: GTX 1660Ti (or RTX 2060)
RAM: 16 GB DDR5 2666Mhz

I want this case: https://www.silverstonetek.com/raven/pro...a=it&top=S
So, i have to verify if I need to overclock the cpu. If so, I have to verify if i can install in this case an additional cooler..
Hi, this is my idea:

CASE: Silverstone SST-RVZ03
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X
MOTHERBOARD: Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac
GPU: AMD RX 5700 XT
RAM: predator 3200MHz cl16
PSU: Seasonic Focus+ Atx 650W
CPU COOLER: Thermalright AXP-100H Muscle
CASE FAN: Enermax D.F. Storm 12cm
THERMAL COMPOUND: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
HDD: Seagate ST2000LX001 HDD Interno FireCuda, 2 TB
SDD: Samsung Memorie MZ-76E500 860 EVO SSD

Do you think that if i use RCPS3 on a 4k tv i can have a good graphic even if i use the emulator not in 4k resolution? Currently I use it on a monitor full hd and it is really good! If I need to run the emulator in 4k, is it enough the cpu/gpu that i linked above?

thanks!
Hi,

please can ayone answer to me? Is a 3600X cpu enough for this emulator or is it better a 3700X?
And an AMD RX 5700 XT is good enough?

thanks!
5700 XT is more than enough, but note that there are some issues with Windows AMD drivers that are not yet worked around on the current master versions, so you may have some graphical issues until those are worked around, unless you're using the RADV driver on linux.

Go for the 3700X if you can, the extra cores help a lot. If you can't, the 3600X is also decent.
thanks! so it is better an Nvidia GPU like 2060 S instead of 5700 XT because the support of OpenGL driver.

Ok, i i can i will buy an 3700X, thanks!

Do i have some way to find out, which part of my platforn need to upgrade?

I mean, how i can get, which cpu i need: with more cores or frequency? What kind of ram?
I tried about 6/7 months ago the RCPS3 and it had some issues but my gpu/cpu didn't reach their maximum...so i think they were issues related to the emulator... currently my desktop has these specs:
- i5 4690K with slightly OC at 4.2Ghz
- 8GB ram DDR3 at about 790Mhz
- GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB

Usually it runs perfectly every emulator. Only RCPS3 has some issues (i tried it months ago...) but it seems they were related to the emulator because cpu/gpu weren't at their maximum. Probably with a new emulator version the issues could be fixed.

In any case, with a laptop like this: https://www.raiontech.com/prodotto/raion...nbook-dx2/ with an i7 9700K, 16 GB ram 2666Mhz and a RTX 2060, it should be much better than my current desktop, correct? So i could run every emulator, RCPS3 included, in fullHD, without problems. Am I right? Or it is really better to buy a desktop with specs described above?
