I think this game is no longer playable in the latest releases. As soon as you select new game, the game crashes no matter the setting.

If it helps any, it seems like you can use an older version (v0.0.15-12154-0b9e4ffe for example) to get past the error spots.  For me I locked up at the jumping into the coffin scene.  Ran the old version, got an episode 1 save, then transferred it over to the latest RPCS3 build to play.

Updating post (3).  The gameplay FPS is Stable. Graphics/Cutscenes are well-rendered.  The sound/Effects are working.

@ Stability Performace (when VBlank Frequency = 120Hz)
