Full Version: Anti Aliasing Option Grayed Out

Hello all, I'm pretty new to forum use, but I read the rules and I hope this is alright. I have a question about anti aliasing.

I have the rpcs3 emulator running just fine. I have Tales of Xillia running on fast settings and it looks pretty good. But I noticed the Anti Aliasing box is grayed out. I saw some posts from over a year ago saying the feature was being taken down and retooled. Is it back up at this point? I can't find any discussion about it later than 2017. Tales of Xillia looks good, but I can get my PS2 emulator running DQ8 with FXAA anti aliasing on it and it looks fantastic. I was hoping to do the same here but have hit a roadblock. Thanks for any support or feedback.
RPCS3 never had that AA setting implemented, it has always been greyed out because it's not implemented yet

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Tales of Xillia will have to be a bit jagged then.
If you have an nVidia GPU, you can try forcing FXAA through the nVidia Control Panel. Results are not always great but I use it on Cemu and it does help reduce the jaggies. I've noticed that on RPCS3, some games show very little if any aliasing when you run the game at 3x native resolution, whereas other look quite jagged.
Even better - use NVIDIA Profile Inspector. It's like Control Panel except you can change everything, not just the options Control Panel gives you.

Also I thought its Anti-Aliasing options wouldn't do anything if the target program hadn't implemented Anti-Aliasing. Good to know, I'll be using this.
