Full Version: Demon Souls freezes randomly and flickers

I'm using RPCS3 7224 and I've been playing Demon Souls for a few days and it just randomly freezes.  I've tried Vulkan and I've tried OpenGl and both freeze, and both have this texture flicker that I see every so often.  The only solution I've found to the flicker is to not use Write Color Buffers, but as soon as I load into a different area I just see black.  I don't know if Write Color Buffers disabled stops the freezing since I'm often loading the game.

This is what it says after the freeze in RPCS3.  The Verification failed is what's causing the problem.  Also I've deleted RPCS3 and just fresh installed it to see if that changes anything, cause I've been updating it by copy and pasting over the old versions for a while now.  So far no flicker when running Write Color Buffers, which is good, but still freezes randomly.

As far as I know the flickering was fixed in the new open Pull Request. You can try it here... EDIT: Changes merged download latest build from https://rpcs3.net/download
Thanks, I already have it. It fixes the Verification failed but I still get a flicker here and there. Plus it still freezes after 15-20 minutes of using it. But it kinda still runs as I can hear my guy dying from attacks from NPCs. The only solution is to force close RPCS3.
