Hi all,
I have found that the Vulkan Renderer became unavailable when I installed the nVidia drivers released on 08-Jan-2018. I tried it on the newest RPCS3 release and versions that Vulkan was available previously. I am unsure how to reactivate Vulkan renderer.

Many thanks for any help I might get with this!

Update: Just download the latest NVIDIA drivers alongside the latest RPCS3 version.
Hello I am on here because recently I went to play some Persona 5 I got a new update for the RPCS3 downloaded that and for some reason, in my GPU section in Systems, I do not have an option for Vulkan. Now I also updated my GPU to its newest drivers before this as well so maybe that caused it? I am not really sure but I have looked for tons of videos and tried to download Vulkan drivers? I honestly have no idea what I have been doing I have just been downloading what seems to be Vulkan drives but that is not working. I may be doing this wrong or something if anyone could help you would be saving my life thank you for reading.
If needed my GPU is a little old its a GTX Windforce 770
Hi, iám new in this ps3 emulator..

i have problems regarding vulkan renderer.. it doesn't appear on GPU configuration renderer list.. My GPU is GTX 1050 Ti, i have checked it and i believe it's supported.. my OS is Windows 10 and CPU is Ryzen 5 1500x.. i have install the latest graphic cards driver..

is there someting needs to be done to enable vulkan renderer?

kind regards..
Known issue with latest NVIDIA drivers.

Under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\Vulkan\Drivers", create a new REG_DWORD, name it "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_5601d21ccd639df9\nv-vk64.json", and put the value as 0.

Thanks for the reply.

I did not realise that was a known error while searching but from the time I submit the thread, I discovered that yes the latest Nvidia driver does not install Vulkan right at all. I spent hours trying to fix it and just a few minutes before checking here again, I found this thread which has the exact solution you provided:
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Dota-2-...issues/145

I have no idea how a problem like that could pass nVidia quality control, but, thank you so much for your solution. I confirm, it works.

Edit: To fix grammar etc

Normally when you install Vulkan run times, it copies "nv-vk64.json" and "nvoglv64.dll" (I can't check the name of this one from here)  and the 32 bit versions to "/Windows/system32/" and then sets the registry in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Khronos \ Vulkan \ Drivers" to have a dword named as the path to the json file.

While there is this problem with installing Vulkan, it's sufficient, rather than manually copying files to system32, just to point to the json in the driverstore folder in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Khronos \ Vulkan \ Drivers". The json points to the folder it is stored in for the required dll files, and the correct files are beside it in the driverstore.

But in case there is variation in the folder in the driverstore, check in "/windows/system32/driverstore /" for the location of the json file in the newest driver folder, and confirm its in the registry.

Oh but after setting the location in registry, you need to reboot or run vulkaninfo.exe which is in a sub folder in "/program files (x86)/Vulkan RT/".

Them Vulkan should correctly appear in RPCS3.
I just rolled back drivers to 388.71.
