what is lle vdec if you dont mind me asking please?

Load automatic and manual libraries, then search for vdec in the firmware libraries. check it and play the game.

So, I'm running version 0.0.6-8231-ac3982d2 Alpha, and while tiger woods 07 is indeed playable. I can't actually finish a full round of the tiger challenge (the most fun part of the game!) without the game freezing while the audio continues to play as though the game was still running. I've enabled lle vdec as per the comment from digital dude, and as it would appear the best I can do its current state is to play about 7 holes before it crashes.

Moving to ingame until crashes are confirmed to be fixed.

Why does the compatibility list say playable: https://rpcs3.net/compatibility?g=tiger+woods when the game hangs as soon as a hole should start.

It's like this:

the game freezing while the audio continues to play as though the game was still running.

I included libvdec.sprx library as well

Echoing this. Been messing with this one for weeks, no luck. I think this game is not marked appropriately and should be re-evaluated.

As an aside, if anyone has any tips, would love to hear them. 

Same issue - always freezes at the first hole.
