Tested today with RPCS3 0.0.16-12402 Alpha, both game version 1.00 and with 1.02 patch. All emulator settings at default (fresh config file/no custom config.)
Game works well, albeit with very poor performance. 1.02 patch improves performance a bit.
Environment: Win10 Pro 21H1 on Ryzen 7 5800X, 32GB DDR4-3600, RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB, GeForce driver 466.47.
Performance is strange; seems buggy. It will hit 60 FPS when standing around, but moving or turning the camera will abruptly drop performance.
As the game's performance drops, game speed drops as well. At below 30 FPS, the game is markedly unplayable.
Seems likely to be related to this game's unique virtual texturing method, but curiously, moving has more effect on performance than looking.
Host system (PC) CPU usage is around 40%, GPU usage around 25%. Multithreaded RSX does not help performance.
Enabling "Asynchronous Texture Streaming" does drastically improve performance, allowing it to reach full-speed in most situations, but introduces major visual corruption with flickering artifacts covering much of the screen:
If you check the log, I have the DLC installed with no RAPs because the filenames are screwy so I'm not sure which .pkg is the update data and which one is the DLC, lol.
