Gathering points and character outlines have been fixed. The black ground tiles still remain.

Enough to make it playable however! Moving thread to playable.

I think you have a bad rip. This game has thousands of small files, one of them could have gotten bad during FTP.

Can anyone help when i start the game it prompts me to install it like the other Atelier games but with Escha and Logy i can't press anything and changing my pad handler to keyboard and trying it with the keyboard doesn't work either.

in the log there is some kind of error message:
E {PPU[0x1000018] Thread (installGameDataThread) [0x0047965c]} cellSysutil: Atelier Escha & Logy Installing data to the hard disk drive. During installation, the HDD access indicator will flash. Do not turn off the system until installation is complete.
E {dialog input thread} RSX: Pad handler expected but none initialized!
E {dialog input thread} RSX: Dialog input loop exited with error code=-3

is there a fix for this? this is the only game i found that has this problem
i tried build 0.0.5-6500, 0.0.5-6510 and 0.0.5-6513

Seems like a rendered UI bug... You can probably work around it by installing the game with this old build, and then using a new build as usual to play it. https://ci.appveyor.com/project/rpcs3/rp.../artifacts
I have the same problem, when using the 0.05 the neither the game or the firmware appears to be installed properly.
When using 0.04 that the admin recommended it install the firmware apparently properly but the game doesn't and no controller configuration works.
This is assuming that red text that appears on the bottom box are errors.
