Only works without graphic glitches with
Interpreter Fast
Recompiler LLVM
Vulkan

but with best hardware still unable to reach 60fps with Interpreter fast

Same for me using latest build.

Such a shame about the graphical glitches using PPU LLVM. Performance is so much better, but graphics are a mess.
Still no progress for RPCS3 Version: 0.0.17-12512-954d83b6 Alpha

Interpreter Fast still works but run slow even on best hardware
Very good progress today. Manage to find some settings that remove the graphic glitches. So it did pay off to try out all combinations

the trick is to set 4:3 and 720x576 resolution. then vulkan and LLVM will work
The weird part is, that when you set it to a 4:3, it scales to 16:9 but setting RPCS3 to 16:9 will do a 4:3 squeezed picture

RPCS3 Version: 0.0.18-12703-06f733a7 Alpha

This is the best result i can get. no glitches but the image is surrounded from black bars

It works that way with the NPUB30493 version as well. Nice finding.

Hello, after i see this topic i just do some test and make it works on fullscreen, you need to set the game to resolution 720x576 and aspect ratio to 16;9 with stretch to display area marked, and you will have fullscreen on vulkan llvm without flicker Smile.

"stretch to display area". I totally forgot that option exists. Thanks!

I've made a post with instructions on how to run this game with LLVM PPU Recompiler enabled on any CPU. It works for this version two for sure.

It is not playable.. on my hardware with the 8 cores locked at 4.4ghz, and this is 11th gen, much faster than the quad core in this link
https://forums.rpcs3.net/thread-198520.html
where he claims it is playable.

I get 25 FPS. I presume a desktop with 11thgen at 5ghz would get about 28 - 30 FPS.
It's only showing 15% cpu usage. when it is at 25 FPS. It feels wrong, slow.. it's a 60 FPS game!
It was playable on an older version of RPCS3 before it needed the interpreter to be chosen to avoid texture flickering/corruption.

I am only trying to keep it real here and be helpful and test whatever I own a legit copy of. Maybe on new alder lake with all those threads? But who knows. In my tests, RPCS3 itself can max out 16 threads, which is what my computer has ( I have tested it on a 32 thread desktop and it only used 16 itself).

This should be moved to ingame. If it can't properly play on an 11th gen 16 threads locked at 4.4ghz with no speed fluctuation and mobile RTX 3070 which is equal to desktop 2070, then it's not playable.

EDIT, when I posted this, the last post I saw was "it doesn't even work on top hardware:". Somehow I didn't realise there were posts after that.
So I will try the new suggestions with the 4:3 trick etc and BRB and see if I can get it working at reasonable frame rate and GFX.

My apologies for any possible mistake on my part.

Second Edit, that fix works! I thought the aspect ratio was off when choosing 16:9, the 720x576 resolution and "stretch to display area" but I was wrong.
I compared it with the xbox 360 version in xenia and it is the same.
I could even upscale to 4K no problems.. 60 FPS lock.

So yes it's playable.
My sincere apologies!

It's even in the WIKI. I want to facepalm myself LOL.

The only caveat is that you HAVE to have the window maxed out or be in full screen, cause this option is actually changing the aspect ratio on the fly depending on window size.
the US version work perfect now, i added a config file to it. maybe this also work for this version

I would love to see progress on the online functionality and an option that allows players using RPCS3 to play against players on the real PS3 console. Are there any plans to accomplish this?
There is no need to change a lot of the things that Mock did in his config file for this to work.

I just tested it again and besides the default options, the only two things you have to change for this game to work properly on latest builds are:

In the GPU tab, you just need to change FRAMELIMIT to PS3 Native, and check the "Disable Vertex Cache" option on the right side in Additional Settings. And that's it.

You can even change the resolution scaling if you want up to 4K or whatever. No need to check strict rendering, Multithreaded RSX, Asynchonous Texture Streaming, or anything else really. With default settings and the two modifications I'd mentioned above, you ready to go. No flickering textures.

Tested with:
RPCS3 0.0.23-13883-befd7ceb Alpha and also RPCS3 0.0.23-13964-0ba0f9d2 Alpha
CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
GPU Nvidia RTX 3080Ti with latest driver as of July 25th 2022.

Settings: on GPU tab, change FRAMELIMIT to PS3 Native, check "Disable Vertex Cache", the rest if default.

I've made a short video showing that it works. It shows before and after the fix.
