A 3700X. It's plenty overkill, enough to run over 150FPS in that segment I shot, should I unlock the framerate.

Ok.

The recording takes a chunk of the FPS, but it still runs around 3x/4x the game speed. And the stuttering still happens in the same place regardless. Obviously, the game becomes unplayable.
Tested on RPCS3 v0.0.9-10010-1ceb779a just to check in

The audio glitching issue seems to still happen in-game. It happens usually if your car goes past 200 km/h. This causes audio of everything to skip (voices, engines, etc.).

Rest of game seems to be fully playable (definitely not readable in English) so game can stay in playable status

Video:

Audio skipping is still happening for me as well. I tried uncapping fps which had no effect. I then tried vblank 120 but that just caused the game to speed up and the skipping still happened. SPU loop detection disabled across all tests.

Happy to report that stuttering no longer happens with the ASMJIT SPU setting with my CPU. Any other SPU decoder setting causes stuttering at high speeds/certain locations.

Game happily running at full speed in 4K, with a GTX 1070.

I decided to give this another try 2 years later! There was progress but the issue won't go away. I had to do a new install and the stuttering now occurs in a different spot and is more sporadic rather than just occurring right away and never stopping. I tried default settings, setting ASMJIT as stated above (no change), and maximum number of SPURS threads to 3 (no change).

So how's the game these days, is the stuttering gone with the latest build?
